Background: I am a fourth generation charter boat captain who grew up on fishing boats and I've never stopped loving it. I like to troll for striking fish and also love to bottom fish for reef species. I tend to prefer lighter tackle for more of a fair fight but when it's necessary, I'll pull out the big guns! I'm open to trying other peoples' favorite styles and methods as well because in this line of work if you aren't trying new things and experimenting, then you won't go too far!

Cool temps = great fishing!

When the water temp falls the trout bite gets great! Many large fish and tons of small ones. Great time of year for the angler who is a fan of artificial fishing!! Soft and hard plastics are fun and exciting to fish with. Bait also works great! Reds begin to school up and and like to move around on the low tides, making sight fishing possible. This is one of my favoite times of year to fish inshore! Looking forward to putting you on some fish! -capt. Zach

Cobia time!

Its the time of year when cobia are cruising the beach and near shore wrecks. They are running up the beach with the migrating manta rays. Great chance to sight cast a nice cobia!

Trout galore! Reds still fired up

The speckled trout bite has propelled to epic levels!! So if throwing morning top water, artificial bait, or catching lots of fish in general is your thing, then the time is now!! Still a good redfish bite going on and some nice flounder also!

Reds and trout!

The reds and trout have been fired up for the past few weeks. Many upper slot reds, and some real nice trout some over 20in. This is one of my favorite time of year to fish for reds, with many opportunities to catch them by sight fishing. Exciting stuff! Let get out and get on then while the getting is good!

Mangrove snapper spawn!

The big mangrove snapper are getting amped up for the spawn. It is the best time of year to go out and get them. They are a great eating fish and fight hard! It is a fun style of fishing for them also. Using light line and lots of chum. So let get out there and get them while they are fired up!! I have the end of the month and beginning of July openings.

Off shore fishing bonanza!

The bite is on! Trolling the wrecks for kings is about as close to a guarantee as you can get. Cobia are around in packs and the chance for a sailfish is as good as it gets right now. Plus the bottom fishing is great to go along with it. Big mangroves and muttons with the occasional grouper! Let get out there and get while they are hot!

Capt. Zach was an excellent guide and got us onto fish immediately. He had the equipment, knowledge and enthusiasm we were looking for.
