Me and my wife couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water! Even with the cold front that moved in, we tagged out on redfish within 15 minutes of fishing. The fun didn’t stop there as we ended the day with a total of 13! Communication with Meghan was great from the very beginning of us booking the charter up to us showing up at the dock. Captain Johnathon took us out on the water and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to do so! He was very knowledgeable and up front with expectations due to the colder weather. He was very friendly, we had great conversations in-between him making sure we had bait at all times and helping out when needed.

All in all, after all the other fishing charters we looked at prior to booking, we made the right decision! Reel Men fishing and Captain Johnathan is now our go-to fishing charter in Galveston from here on out! You all were amazing and we look forward to our next trip, thanks again!

After having a bad experience with another charter who cancelled on us last minute We decided to try again with a different one so we chose reel men charter Capt Bryan was our host he was very knowledgeable and fun to be around he took us to out to different spots we caught and released a few baby sharks a few catfishes and then we came home with a nice size shark. needless to say we had a great time will definitely recommend them to anyone the kids (teens) had a great time as well overall a very pleasant amd memorable experience. Thank you Ms Meghan for being so patient and explaining everything to us. We will definitely be coming back 😁

We have not taken a family vacation in over 13 yrs due to my sons medical taking a lot of time and financials. This was for sure a memory filled trip with this charter being at the top of it. I cannot express how impressed I am with the outcome of the trip..
My son argued the whole way down and up til the day that he wouldn’t get on the boat. The day of he wore the outfit in the picture and charged his earphones and phone with the idea he was going to ignore life the whole time on the boat. Since that boat ride, that is ALL he can talk about and when can we go back! He loved the energy of the captain and his staff and was actually looking at doing it for a job. The experience is awesome and I will for sure do this again.

We had an absolute blast fishing with Reel Men Fishing!  I took my oldest three kiddos ages 12, 10, and 7.  We did a 4 hour in-shore charter trip and everyone caught fish and had some nice keepers, in particular a good size Red Drum that my oldest caught :) Captain Jonathan was excellent with the kids.  If you ask then what was their favorite part about their vacation in Galveston they all said it was FISHING!  I would definitely recommend Reel Men.  They communicated quickly and effectively and just made the experience a breeze :) I plan on booking another charter the next time we vacation in Galveston.

We arrived at the dock and the captain was not there yet, because he had a flat tire, which I get.  Stuff happens.
Once we got out we arrived at the first spot, caught some bait fish, and headed to the next spot, where we spent the next 2.5 just sitting, he put rods out at the end of the boat( only 3 rods when we had a party of 3) , we didn’t hold them, he dropped them and we waited. And caught no fish. Which I understand is out of his control, but I would have liked to have tried other spots, gone to different places to make it feel like we were trying to catch fish, I didn’t vocalize that we wanted to move because I didn’t want to tell him how to do his job. He played music, and was on his phone for the majority of the second spot.
Once we returned to the dock, I tipped him, even though it felt as though I shouldn’t have, and as we were walking down the dock we saw fish sitting on other cleaning tables from other charters.

Again, I know sometimes fish don’t bite, and people have bad luck with flat tires. But I feel as though more effort could have been put into trying. We wanted to catch literally anything, sharks, small fish, and he was stuck on catching redfish at that one spot.
In my personal opinion, I would not book at $450 charter just to have it be a boat ride again.
