Background
Hello, my name is Captain Scott. I'm a Coast Guard-licensed captain and a 3rd generation native Floridian. I've been handed down the tradition and local knowledge of fishing in Florida waters by both my grandfathers and my father. I've been fishing our local waters for the last 35 years. I have a love for the outdoors, and I know these waters like the back of my hand. I'm a proven tournament winner – first place 2018 Suncoast Tarpon Shootout, first place for the biggest Tarpon in the 2017 White Buffalo Suncoast Tarpon Shootout, third place for most releases in the 2016 Suncoast Tarpon Shootout, and 2nd place overall, and at the 2018 Economy Tackle Bass on Fly tournament, I got 1st place. I have a passion for sharing our great fishery and the outdoors with the next generation. I love fishing with kids, and it shows. The look on their face when they reel in the big one keeps me going. I pride myself on being patient, helpful, and attentive. I promise to do everything I can to make your experience on the water a great one!
Techniques
Whether your a beginner or a seasoned angler you will have a great day on the water. I can do everything for you including putting your bait on and making that perfect cast or just put you in front of the fish of a lifetime. I am on the water frequently which allows me to follow the active fish. This enables me to put my clients on great spots that are holding active fish very quickly. I prefer to cast net my own fresh bait for my clients.Nothing catches more fish then premium fresh caught live bait. In addition I chum heavily in the warmer months to bring the Snapper, Grouper, Sharks and Mackerel to us often times right behind then boat. For the seasoned angler i enjoy casting topwater plugs and other artificial baits at docks and , flats and structure holding fish. For Tarpon i prefer to use live blue crabs when available and sight cast to Tarpon rolling on the surface. Nothing is more exciting then to watch a 200 pound tarpon inhale your bait at the surface then go airborne.
