Captain Rick is a licensed 150 ton Master Captain with a towing endorsement. He's been fishing Lake Ontario for over 40 years and has been a licensed captain on the lake for 15 years. He's also a licensed N.Y.S. fishing guide for 32 and fishing the Salmon River and other local tribs for 43 years. Guide #1362. This is and always been my passion and I use that to show all my customers about how great the fishing can be and spending time with your family and friends in our great outdoors!
Techniques
Captain Rick loves to troll the Big Lake for all the species but his most favorite loves is to float the Salmon River and fish for Steelhead and Salmon. Rick started fishing the Salmon River at the age of 13 and caught his first limit of Chinook Salmon that day. He was hooked for life since then. Steelhead is is most favorite fish to catch on the Salmon River for him but, the King Salmon on Lake Ontario really tests his skill and says that his drive for catching kings is on another level! All in all he loves all kinds of fishing!

Get here! Get here! And ya better get here asap! This backdown season is in full swing! Thousands of Steelhead are spawing and starting to backdown into the lake! We have about 4 to 5 weeks left or less depending on water and temps! It's a crazy bite. Many, many fish bites a day. So drop you lawn tools and get to Pulaski and the Salmon River for some incredible spring Steelhead fishing! Also, dont forget that Lake Ontario Brown Trout are also on fire when the winds allow us out there!! So get here NOW! Fish On!

What a day today was! Great guys, great weather and some fish action. I had a couple of Veterans on my boat today that was a part of an idea to have a Veterans fishing free day with some of our River Guides. I volunteered with no hesitation. I love our Vets! Thank you to all the Guides and Veterans that made this a mutual day event great! Maybe next seasons have an actual event with food and all. Thank you to all the Guides that donated their time and they are all great guys. And of course, Thank you to all of our Veterans! God bless to everyone and Amen!
