Great experience! Safety is top priority which proves a professional approach. Leo and crew provided great tips and shared some good hunting grounds. We managed to make a few successful shots and even harvested a GIANT lobster. Overall great day fishing with Leo!!

Misleading and disappointing experience.  My wife and I signed up to spearfish however only one speargun was offered to each “team” of two.  I was able to get within firing range of a barracuda, the guide tells you it’s deadly up to ten feet away, the guns are underpowered so unfortunately the spear did not penetrate through the fish even though I was only several feet away.  Needless to say the wounded fish got away. So basically it’s an overpriced snorkeling tour.

Hello Matt. Thank you for your review. Misleading: NO. Disappointing: could be and we are sorry for that. Your guide Anibal explained that freediving should be done in a buddy system. For your own safety!! In between dives you need to take rest on the surface, normally 2 to 3 times the length of your dives. In the time you are on the surface your buddy dives. Etc Etc. So to teach you the buddy system to beginners, which we teach for almost 10 years, we use 1 gun for 2 buddies. If properly done you will NOT have any disadvantage sharing a gun with your buddy; you won´t dive less, you won´t fish less. I don´t call that misleading sir. Your Barracuda. Great you had a shot!  Anibal told in the briefing the guns have a range 9 to 10 feet maximum. You can imagine the closer you are, the bigger change you get to shoot fish. The bigger the fish, the closer you should be. Now in the water fish looks bigger… but also closer. To accuse us of underpowered guns is not nice. Our bands are in top notch shape and we use original Riffe bands. Again I am sorry you had a disappointing experience!

Thank you Richard. It was a pleasure to introduce you to the world of spearfishing. You both did great and improved by the minute! Many great memories. Did you dream about that BIG Grouper hiding in between the rocks? I did. Hope to see you back in future! Muchos saludos. Leo
