Initially excited to take my mom out on a private charter to catch fish turned into a major let down. It seems the trip wasn’t planned through with adequate bait. We were given a few poles with little “greenback” baits and told to catch something that could be used as bait for bigger fish. For $700 I shouldn’t have to catch my own bait to catch a bigger fish. My nephew was able to hook two bigger fish but was unable to successfully bring it in. Two times the fish got off from what we gathered as poor hook rigging. You could see at the end of the line where the hook came off and The line wasn’t snapped off. We paid for 6 hours. We were told to stop fishing early so we could head back. We ended up docking an hour and forty minutes early. Out of the 4 hours and 30 minutes out we only spent about an hour and 20 minutes fishing and the rest driving to failed spots to find fish. We could have saved the $700 and just fished off the pier and caught bigger fish. According to the website where we originally booked the trip, a 4 hour trip costs 400 dollars. I paid 700 dollars to fish for 6 hours and ended up on the boat for only 4 hours. I would like someone ( captain, website moderator, etc) to contact me to talk about me getting a 300 dollar refund.
