Went fishing on Saturday, July 22, 2017

Our trip started 6:30am. Andrew and Kelsey had the boat ready for us. It was fairly clean -
the bathroom not that much - and fishing gear was all set.

At the first stop, Andrew got us live bait. So far we were glad with the whole experience. On the first try we got a fish, but after that nothing else. Andrew took us to several fishing spots, tried to get some tips over the radio, but we had no success. He was very patience though. It was clear to us that he was not a fisherman.

Also, I think the refrigerator on the boat is not working. Sodas, water and light beers were all pretty warm.

Thank you for taking time to tell us about your experience. As an industry leader on Lake Tahoe in customer service, we take your review very seriously and would like to provide you the opportunity to come out on one of our charters during a more optimal fishing season. The best time to catch mackinaw is September through May. Captain Andrew has been fishing Lake Tahoe his entire life and has been guiding on the Lake for 10 years. We hope you will give him another chance, however we also have 3 other captains you can choose from. We look forward to seeing you one day soon.

If you are thinking about fishing Tahoe for the first (or second, or third) time, book with Nor-Cal.  We had the best day on the water possible.  My grandson caught his first couple of fish; we all limited out.  The kicker was the last fish of the morning - 31” Mackinaw; may 20 pounds.  I’ve fished from the Chesapeake Bay to Vancouver to dozens of Pacific coast and Sea of Cortez trips.  This ranks in my top 5.  Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, and put us on the fish with the right gear and the right advice.  A great experience.  Highest recommendation.
