Background
Fishing has been my life since I was about 3 years old. I wanted to be a fisherman ever since I caught my first fish, and left school at an early age to pursue my dream. I got into charter fishing when I applied for a job with one of South Australia's best charter boats: my experience in the commercial fishing industry stood out from over 300 other applicants. After they shut down, I felt it was a good time to fill the gap left here on Yorke Peninsula, and so I started Keen As Fish. I have fished around most of Australia, and gained experience in various types of fishing. I have many contacts within the South Australian Tuna industry, giving me an advantage over my competitors during Tuna season. With my contacts, I can find out where the bigger fish are and work alongside my old company, Australian Fishing Enterprise (AFE), the largest Southern Bluefin Tuna quota holder in the Southern Hemisphere. Since I started charter fishing, I have caught the largest Tuna for the last 2 years.

As an experienced angler i can highly recommend fishing with Keen As Fish, SA Fushing Charters, some of the bedt fishing i have ever experienced catching huge Samson fish and lots of them, King Fish, Southern Bluefin Tuna, Snapper, Nannigai, Blue Morwong, monster Southern Calamari, Arrow Squid to name a few species we landed on a 3 day trip in June this year. The skipper and crew were very helpful while landing the big ones, they continually kept putting us on to the fish the whole time we were out on the water. You don’t need any experience or gear to land the big fish on this charter, they supply it all for you including fantastic food. I had an absolutey awesome time fishing with these guys and I am sure you will not be dissapointed when you book your fishing trip with them either.
Cheers John.

I would definitely recommend “keen as fish” fishing charters to everybody wanting a full intense fishing experience. We caught such a wide range of species and the captain John went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time. Thanks again
