I was always told lake erie is pretty rough, but not on our day. It was a nice sunny day where the biggest waves were caused from the wake of a passing boat. Capt Dave was very friendly and even threw in a line to try and help us hit our limit. He does not have a first mate, which I was fine with because I got to drive the boat while he setup for us to troll. This is my first trip to Lake Erie, but I know when I have chartered boats at Myrtle Beach cleaning the fish was always part of the fee. We took our catch down the street to have cleaned and bagged for our trip home, which can add up since they charge $2.50 per fish.
I know the website shows 4hrs, but captain Dave had us out for 5 which allowed us to throw a couple more into the box.

He was so nice my son seven years of age got scared he tried talking to him about other things to take his mind off of what was going on. In the long run we end up ending the trip because he was so upset. He didn’t charge use but we paid half anyway because I felt bad.

We had an amazing trip. Captain Dave was obliging in every way! He paid special attention to the kids, ensuring that they had a wonderful experience. He answered all my questions and I asked alot! I will never go to another charter if this one is available!

Overall great experience. First time for most of the group. Captain went out of his way to help the one guy getting sick have a great experience and still catch fish. Also went out of his way to make sure we got out limit and made the trip a great experience and memory for all.

Captain and boat and equipment were great conversationalists. Entertaining and Friendly. 6 people fishing and not catching 1 single fish for the bucket in 4 hours seems like somebody wasn’t up to their snuff for $600. There were other people coming back from their tours holding coolers full of fish, 8 in this one 6 in this one. Here is us, with nothin in ours. Seems like there should be some rule that if you don’t catch a single fish you can bring home and eat, you should only have to pay half. Very disappointed.
