Background
I am passionate about fishing and I love sharing that addiction with others! I have almost 25 years of experience navigating vessels in the coastal SC waters, both inshore and offshore and have fished this area over 30 years! Born & raised here, I have an innate knowledge of the fisheries in the Lowcountry! I hold a USCG 100 Ton Master Credential, CPR/First Aid Cert. & Wilderness Survival Cert. I first began fishing at age 4, when my dad gave me my first Zebco 33. Little did I realize the lifelong impact that red and white bobber submerging for the first time would ingrain into my being. The very first tug from a feisty Bluegill started an addiction that remains to this day! Saltwater fishing became a staple for me around age 12 navigating small boats with buddies in my hometown creeks of Beaufort, SC. Few years later I discovered fly-fishing in mountain streams of upstate SC and NC and that, of course led me to my current love of Saltwater Flats Fishing...i'm a skinny water junkie!
Techniques
I enjoy sharing any techniques and knowledge I can to provide clients with a memorable fishing experience! Seeing a smile on your face after an exciting, productive day on the water is the most rewarding aspect of guiding for me! Whether poling through low tide mudflats, oyster-laden marsh banks or flooded short grass, sight-fishing techniques are by far my favorite and I will work tirelessly to put you into casting distance when you are on my bow! Along with sight-fishing, I do employ traditional jigging, cork and bottom fishing techniques if requested or that is preferred. Either way, plan for a great day of fishing! The fishery in the SC Lowcountry is arguably one of the best in the South and the multitude of species, large tidal swings, and vast river systems here provides a seemingly endless amount of fishing opportunities. Book your trip and lets get out there! Capt. Bryant
