Slow biting day, but we were Infish all day caught 2 albacore tuna!

Captain Mel goes above and beyond to make sure his charter clients are comfortable, have a great time, and most importantly, get fish on the boat!  His experience and ability to find the fish are amazing - he knew exactly where to go and what to use, and we got results - beautiful bonita tuna and spanish mackerel! The mahi knew he was coming out (he’s that good!) so they stayed home, but we gave it our best shot!  It was a incredible day - no matter your level of fishing experience, Mel will take care of you from start to finish.  The next time you’re in Panama City, go with Captain Mel.

My Fiancé and I had a very special day with Capt. Melvin (CM). The day started out with threatening sky’s that turned black with lightning. Seas were 2-3’ and we had rain for about 1-½ hours. CM asked if we wanted to go back but we were determined and he got on it. Finally after about 3 hours the rain let up and CM found the “boiling water” and put us on fish. My Fiancé had no deep sea fishing experience but CM showed great patience and teaching skills and made her feel very comfortable on her first fishing trip. She caught a Mahi Mahi-Dorado and was really thrilled. He had her go through the “bight the sail” ritual and later cleaned and packaged our catch. CM extended the trip 2 hours to compensate for the bad weather luck and he fished to the latest possible time. All in all CM showed a genuine concern for our satisfaction and his enthusiasm for fishing and caring for his customers was clearly evident. We were lucky to sea a whale blowing under a “blackened” sky which was also special.  A first class guide/captain for sure.

Had a wonderful day at sea with Captain Melvin and his friend. We went early I. The morning and fished until late in the afternoon. Although the bite wasn’t great this particular day we enjoyed it very much and got to see turtles, dolphins and whales. The crew was super friendly and guided us through the whole day. Gracias Cap😃
