- Background
- Captain Marvin Steiding is a Maryland native. Marvin has been a law enforcement officer, a business owner, and served on the Governor’s Commission for Public Safety. When he was in his twenties, Marvin had his first boat and began fishing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. When he was exploring the offshore grounds in Ocean City, his passion for White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sharks, and Tuna grew. In 1998, his boat came to Jupiter, Florida where he fished with Barry Hitch, Tom Henry, and other Maryland acquaintances. Fishing for Sailfish became a real challenge. Marvin quickly learned all that he could about Sailfishing which later became his passion. He started Reel Candy Sportfishing Charters in the late 90’s with his wife Candy in Nokomis.
- Techniques
- We thoroughly enjoy kite fishing with live bait. There is absolutely nothing better than watching a lit-up fish chasing bait around trying to eat it. Of course, when we need to cover a lot of water to find fish, we troll the blue waters of the gulf stream.
