Background
Andrew Chorley, or "Chozza", as most people know him, is a true local fisherman. Born and raised on the Fraser Coast, Capt. Andrew has been fishing the local waters his whole life. When Andrew was five, his dad introduced him to fishing. Andrew has never looked back since. In his school years he spent most afternoons, weekends and school holidays fishing the local jetties, rock walls, lakes, and beaches or hitting Hervey Bay with his father and friends in their boat. In this time, he learnt and used a huge range of techniques, many of which he still uses today. Growing up around the local guiding and sportfishing scene, it was only a matter of time before Andrew obtained his skipper's ticket and began guiding. Sharing his passion for fishing and his home waters comes is something he enjoys, which together with his casual yet professional approach to guiding has made him one of the most successful guides on the East coast of Australia.
Techniques
Our preferred techniques are lure or fly but are open to any techniques you may wish to fish. Our broad range of species often sees us switch from different methods during the day.

Went fishing on Saturday, July 22, 2017

Great day of weather and fishing.  Captain was on task all day.  We started catching fish before 9 am.  Positives - Captain never sat too long if fish were off.  We continued fishing different spots all day.  We caught fish and captain was friendly.  Negatives - just a few.  We would not take this boat if full sun day as there was no bimini top for shade and it would have been too much sun for full day without shade.  There was no need for cover on day we went as clouds were plentiful.  We felt like we travelled too far out for our liking with 1.5 hr boat trip to get to fishing and worked way back.  Would think fish were closer in but we saw whales and turtles where we fished and we did catch fish so made the ride worth it.  Would have enjoyed hot beverages in early morning—would recommend bringing coffee flask.  Plenty of good food for day was supplied.  We would go again for sure—great trip and caught a lot of fish.  Tackle was great but we would have liked fishing some with live bait.  All rods were well kept and Captain was quick to fix any bait issues and caught a lot of fish to give us to reel as well.  Very pleased, just a few improvements but we got what we paid for - a fun great day of fishing.
