Captain
Tim Rushing

Member since August 2019 Naples, United States
Background
I have fished every single nook and cranny of Florida since I was old enough to walk, and I have spent my entire life wanting to become a charter captain and help people experience the excitement and admiration for backwater fishing and the coastal waters of Southwest Florida. Unforturnately college and a construction career, that culminated in running my own company as a certified general contractor, kept me busy. But it also allowed me lots of freedom to fish tournaments, and develop a network of prominent guides and fishing partners and develop my skills as a boater and fisherman. Family life only made it better, as I got to watch my three daughters blossom into super fishermen, and and the past 22 years of taking boat loads of kids and family in the boat has created a patient, consciensious captain. Let me take you on a trophy hunt, family day of fishing, or both in my 18 Maverick Master angler with state of the art features, and high end fishing equipment
Techniques
I like to fish with live bait. There is a skill and style of presentation that can turn any old bite into a spectacular bite. The presentation will be the recurring theme as we fish through the day and I help you develop a sense for how it effects the fish and their decision to strike your bait. You will also be impressed with the high end equipment you will be using as you master the techniques. We will cruise shorelines and mangrove pockets looking for currents, birds, and other natural features that indicate a high probability of finding fish, anchor in passes or cuts, powerpole down on outside points and troughs, and explore the myriad of fishing spots I have developed fishing the waters in the past 30 years. Again, we will focus on bait presentation and use my experience on the water to determine the proper tides, currents, and wind to bring it all together. The bottom line is I will work hard to make your day fun, easy and extremely fishy
