- Background
- I have fished and hunted all of my life and always wanted to make it a career. After 25 years in the Landscaping industry, I had a chance to follow my dream. I grew up fishing the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers for Catfish, Bass, and Walleye. I moved to Tampa, FL, to pursue a career in charter fishing in 2013. Over the past 9 years, I have guided in Tampa Bay and parts of Alaska in the summers. Now I live in Tennessee to be closer to our grandson and have carried my business here to pursue trophy Catfish, Striper, and anything else we can catch.
- Techniques
- I have found that nothing beats fresh, live or cut bait. Sending out 4-8 rods with live and cut bait is the key to catching large catfish. Frozen bait works but not as well as fresh bait. I will do whatever it takes to find and use fresh baits on every trip.
