Fished on 10/24/23 with Capt AJ and mate Adam on the Pearl. Spending a lot of time on the water myself I wanted to pick the best boat. Capt. AJ said the mahi mahi bite was hot!  Catching like 30 the day before but catching them at home pretty frequently I requested to target tuna and marlin. They said It would be a long ride and a roll of the dice but I wanted to catch big fish. Well we steamed out there slow and steady (fyi not a fast boat) and had a comfortable ride. The Capt. searched all morning and found what we were looking for….BIG FISH!  We had two great passes on a full on feeding frenzy catching 7 yellowfin tuna by days end, 6 going well over a 100+ lbs. The Capt. And crew were great from start to finish. If you’re a serious angler and want to go after the best Hawaii has to offer. This is your Capt and boat to go out on. Highly recommend them!!!

Aku Tuna was biting.  We landed 4 out of 5 strikes we had on them.  We went after other species of fish without any luck.  Captain AJ and Jard worked hard looking for birds that usually signal there is fish near by.  Awesome day on the water.  I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to fish the North Shore.

Captain A.J. And his first mate tried hard to get us in the fish, but it was one of those days that fishing was not good, which does happen.
Captain A.J. Took my number and said he would call us in the next few days when they got fish and would see we got some.
He is a man of his word, he called and gave us some wahoo. He also would hold me a piece of tuna if they got some while we are still here.
I have charted several times in the past and Captain A.J. Is a great guy, and fun to be with. He tries very hard.
We had two boys, 10 and 11, they loved it. We did see whales and dolphins as well.
I would recommend him highly.
