Wow. I’ve never received a review based on where I dock my boat. We leave from $1 million house on the water in the Keys. I’ve never had any other complaints   Yes, it was a slow day of fishing and that happens but not due to a lack of effort.  I use a Garmin fishfinder / chart plotter which was in front of me for the entirety of the trip. But I guess that went unnoticed because for the majority of the trip, you had your heads down, looking at your phones. It can be a time crunch, going offshore and trolling for dolphin and tuna on a half day but the majority of time can put together a good catch. but anyone who’s done any bit of fishing realizes there are going to be slow days and I can guarantee that it has nothing to do with fire pits or ceiling fans.

I would like to say that I am sorry that it was not a good experience. I try my hardest to catch fish and most people realize that it is just that it is fishing and some days are slow and some days are great. As far as the 22 foot boat,that is stated clearly upfront in the description before the customer books the boat and it’s perfectly adequate for going offshore. As far as changing the game plan in the middle of the trip it is an option, But not a great option when the other captains on the radio have said there’s no current on the edge of the reef and you are 18 miles offshore looking for mahi. Mahi-mahi in July fishing off the Florida Keys is the absolute best bet for catching A fish that not only puts up a great fight but it’s delicious to eat.I am sorry that you felt that I should have done something else and not stayed out there but anyone who fishes regularly for mahi-mahi knows that one pack of fish can make a day and that was what I was trying to do. I do hope next time you book a charter you book a bigger more expensive boat that is more “adequate for the task” so you can catch more fish and don’t feel “ripped off”.
