Went fishing on Monday, August 7, 2017
Excellent service from pick up to drop off. Driver showed up at my hotel at 7:15 am, as scheduled, and was waiting on the dock when we returned. I enjoyed the fighting belt approach on the Gladiator rather than sitting in the chair. Ive fished Hawaii, Gulf of Texas, and Baja Mexico. Capt. Charlie and his son are by far the best and hardest working, and the boat and equipment were top notch. Excellent trip and cant wait to return!!!

The arrangements from start to finish were absolutely flawless. Our captain and deck hand did an outstanding job trying to put us on fish . Although there wasn’t to many hookups , the White Marlin that I did catch was a blast . Thank you Mike , Captain Charlie , and the great deck hand Charlie

we also offer 6hrs, 8hrs and 10hrs charters to spend more time fishing.

our offshore waters range around 5-6ft with often higher swells as a average day.
it changes often and quickly, sorry that you hit one of the higher Sea Level Days.

Mike,s marina did for me exactly what he said he would do. I paid deposit of $100 on PayPal and printed of emails/paperwork then let him now where I was staying. I was given time of pick up and told to wait in lobby of hotel. The cab driver turned up on time with a printed card with my name on and identifying who he was. From hotel and back to hotel the whole experience was great and the crew polite but hard of English speaking was still able to real myself in a marlin and picture was emailed to me. For me, I would like to have crew member to take more pictures and I would have been happy to pay extra for that instead of taking camera. Thanks Mike for a great experience.

it was my pleasure to communicate with you and set up your charter.
in case of taking pictures with their phones the Crew does what they can if the action and waves allow to do so, as they of course primarily have to handle the fish and keep the boat on it’s necessary position.
due that we recommend to bring the own camera and take pictures from each others on fishes.
of course which ever photo we take, we are happy to send it to the customer and of course for free.
i will look for yours and add it here, too.

Had a good experience with this charter. Although we only hooked one fish, the equipment was in very good condition and the crew worked hard to put us on to something. Baits were changed often and quality lures were used. We were one of the only boats to catch a marlin that day. I could tell that this company is professional and probably one of the better services in the D.R. The one negative part I could say is that both members of the crew only spoke Spanish so this made communication difficult, they also were not very talkative. As a final note, this has nothing to do with the service provided, but the waters around the D.R. are very rough, biggest waves I’ve ever experienced. Although I was fine, half the people with us spent the time inside the cabin, puking. So take some Gravol if you experience seasickness.

yes, 5-6ft Sea is the average to await/normal Sea Level for most days around here.
our Crew’s english is basic and to be “talkative” is different from person to person,
some talk more and some are more the quieter kinda guys.
some Gravol/Dramamine etc is always the way to go for people who are unsure how they take a ride on Open Ocean Waters.
aside of the released white Marlin your shared 4hrs charter missed to add some Mahi to the menue.
on the half day charters the time flies by quickly,
and as we are running peak time for white Marlin the focus been on raising Billfish.

This fishing trip was my first and it was amazing. The crew put us on the fish, ended up with 5 White Marline, 2 Mahi Mahi, and 1 Barracuda. There were only 4 people fish on the boat total, which made for a great experience

On 2/12/16 four of us went out on a ¾-day charter on the Gladiator. Seas were rough 5-8-foot. We caught 4 Mahi Mahi in the first hour. The drag on the reel were set too light and it took longer than it should have to land the fish. Also a fishing chair would have made it more comfortable due to the rough seas. Things slowed down for a while then we caught 4-yellow tail with a blue stripe (the crew spoke very little English) we did not get a name of that species. Just before we went back to the marina we hooked up with a barracuda. All-in-all a good trip one person got a little ill due to the high seas. Some food would have been nice. The transportation to and from the marina started off confusing, but we got it straightened out at the hotel.
