Highly recommend the trip and experience with the Crew of the Hook’N UP! From the moment that I reached out to the team on the website.  Richard was extremely quick as the trip coordinator to reach out and create an environment of making us feel comfortable.  Arriving on Sunday Morning we were greeted with a warm welcome from both the Captain and his first mate Jen.  Unfortunately George took the day, and Jen brought the good luck as we were not fishing we were catching.  We did both top fishing and bottom fishing on the trip.  We are complete Novices and the made us feel like we experienced fishing team not the Bering Straight.  We were luck to catch a 25 LB Black Fin Tuna that served for the next 2 nights for dinner at various restaurants.  They helped us to understand the process and made feel welcomed and that we could ask any questions.  Jen was incredible in her desire to make us feel welcomed.  Not enough good things can be said about the Captain and his crew.  I highly recommend this charter.

Awesome trip! Captain John and Sergio were extremely friendly and I could tell they wanted me to have a good time. I did find out sea sickness is real, I’ve been on boats a ton but never had that before. I felt horrid having to cut it a little short but I was not doing well. Sergio still made sure I caught some fish so that was nice, also filleted it and bagged it for me. I highly recommend these guys!

Awesome fishing trip! Captain John knew all of the good fishing spots for what we were looking for, as well as what conditions were allowing. Snagged a rare zebra Wahoo less than 10 minutes out of the inlet, and plenty more during the course of the trip. First Mate George was the MVP of the trip, and worked tirelessly keeping the hooks baited, all lines working, and coaching us throughout the trip. Learned a whole lot from him, and I can’t adequately give him the accolades he deserves. I will certainly be coming back to fish with these guys again!

They know right where the fish were. The boat we were on was older, but clean and reliable. They cleaned the fish for us perfectly and we headed to Sailfish Marina for a great lunch with it! Thanks a ton guys

Although there was a miscommunication between the owner of the boat and the Captain, the captain was able able to find, in extremis, a mate. We left an hour and a half later than schedule but we had a full 3/4 day and the crew was just great with us. We caught a 70 pound sailfish, 3 mahi-mahi, 2 bonita tuna, etc…
The boat is a bit old but it is very large, heavy and stable. It could be more comfortable outside but, all in all, we have loved our experience.
