Everyone who does a lot of fishing knows - not every day is a great day “catching”.  We fished the Gulf for Spanish Mackerel (and others).  The 3 previous days in that same area we were hooking up on every cast or every other cast with 2 to 6 pound Spanish and many other species.  I have done a lot of fishing in Wisconsin and on a slow day up there - you don’t catch anything.  Here in the Keys when you have a slow day - you will still catch something.  It was a very slow day here with Kevin…but we did catch Speckled Sea Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Blue Runners, 1 Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Remora, Puffer Fish, Pinfish and probably a few others.  The fish were small ... but that was just how fishing went that day.  Yesterday we fished one of the same areas and caught our limit of nice keeper Mangrove Snapper.  I kept Kevin and his wife out for an extra hour and discounted them $180 off the price they thought they were supposed to pay.  They were all smiles and laughing the entire trip and left thanking me for the great time they had.  I enjoyed fishing with them.
