This was our first fishing trip in the ocean/sea. The Capitan and his crew, First Mate Alexander and Deck Hand Dillon were amazing. Alexander never stopped moving. Dillon was so helpful and the entire crew made us feel safe and at ease the entire trip. The Caribbean Sea off the coast of Aruba is not like a lake. We had 5-7” swells and the Kristel handled them very well. You are going to rock and you want a boat like her, a 40ft Striker because she is made to handle them. I have seen other reviews that say the sea was “rough” and all I can say to that is, it is the ocean and that is how the ocean is. We were on fish in the first 20 minutes and they were steady the entire trip. In all we caught 8 fish. Two tuna, 3 barracuda and 2 rainbow runners. I lost three fish while reeling them in. We had 4 people in our group. They provide sodas and water. If you want snacks, not that you will have time to eat them, bring them along. We had the chance to use the chair, a belt and a hand line to reel in the fish. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend the Kristel, her Captain and crew. This has been on my bucket.list for years and I would like to thank them all for the great day.

I chose Kristel (44’) based on previous reviews, friendly responses and size of the boat. Wanted to go further out offshore and glad we booked this large fishing boat.
Crew was fantastic. Friendly, talkative and hard working to make the trip the best possible. They knew exactly where to go for the kind of fish we wished to catch and we got plenty of fish. Had to cut the trip short an hour due to one person being sea sick. Advice anyone to take sea sickness pills unless you are sure you have no problem with rolling motion. These boats do roll and heave a fair bit once you clear the shelter of the island. I would certainly recommend this boat, crew and company to anyone. It was a highlight of our holiday.

Alexander is the bomb!!!!  The hardest working mate that knows his stuff and gets you fish. Petiod!  He worked 5/6 lines like a composer. Knows how to reel in fish. Yes that is an art form in Aruba. Great company as well. The captain did a great job keeping us in the hot zone and navigated the huge swells out there. The boat and equipment look a bit dated but we really didn’t care. They worked. Cap cleaned the fish and we ate it at the yellow restaurant at the dock. A great day.
You should bring some crackers or lite food to settle your stomach as you get pitched around a bit. Alcohol would have been a disaster so don’t even think about it

Had a great time on this trip. The crew and captain were great and worked hard to help us catch some fish even though we asked them to head back early due to some seasickness. We asked them to target wahoo and amazingly they and sea delivered for us. Captain Mike also steered us to a local restaurant to cook our catch and we enjoyed a feast of fresh fish for dinner. Alexander and Danny did the hard work so we could enjoy the trip and focus on fighting the fish. Highly recommended.
