Captain Trevor was excellent!
We got out on the water and tried a couple of different location. The weather held out and we were able to switch up a few different techniques and make something happen. His knowledge of the area, the tides and the fish we were after really paid off. We caught several fish, saw dolphins and had a great time.
Perfect equipment no issues and great bait for the trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area. My son is 6 and Captain Trevor was super patient with him, showing him how to cast, reel and net a fish as well as how to set the bait. My son has already asked when we are going next. Rates were competitive and well worth every penny!

With the low temperatures and lower water temps we were unsure going into the trip if we were going to get on any fish as we had struggled all week on shore. In the morning, Captain Trev got us on some nice Sheepshead and Black Drum as we had told him we wanted some fish in the cooler. In the early afternoon we went out to the inlet and he hooked us up with two big bull reds and a monster snook. In the afternoon we went back to the river and we relaxed and caught some mangrove snapper as well. Captain Trev is a great guide and awesome dude as well!

I really can’t say enough good things about our trip but here’s the highlights. Capt Trevor is passionate about fishing but definitely more worried about keeping everyone safe and happy on the boat. I booked my trip with only 2 weeks of recovery into my neck surgery and he was able to get us by the jetty so smoothly.

The night was slow for everybody it looked like but he never gave up. He even stayed an extra hour to make sure we had a solid chance and it paid off. My brother hooked into a huge tarpon that was easily over 120+lbs. It had his reel singing so bad it should have been smoking. I told him I’d rather not chase it because of my neck so unfortunately it spooled my brother but we still had a hell of a time.

If you are looking for a competent, passionate, friendly guide to put you on the fish specie of your choice, Captain Hastings is the right choice.  The boat is set to handle offshore, the inlet and anything along the river.  Trevor has the knowledge and skills to find the fish, bring you home a meal and some great stories.  I look forward to my return to Sebastian area and a few more times on the water with him.

Captain Trevor turned a slow day into an active day by taking us up and down the river and even out into the inlet. Once we found a spot where the fish were biting, we caught a bunch of various fish. We had a great time and will be booking again!
