May tarpon has been excellent they are hitting artificial, live bait and flies. Live crab has been the go to bait for many of us. May is a great month and June will be even better. Come book your trip with In the Loop Charters. Fun is sure to happen.

fishing has been red hot. book your trips for this spring as soon as you can. Pompano bite has been very good. Along with 50lb-100lb tarpon showing up and redfish prowling the flats and oyster bars.

Today fishing was amazing. Only fishing with artificial baits and flies, plenty of fish have been on the bite. I've seen an abundance of bait also on the surface. Fishing around the deeper edges of bars was good today. We hooked into some close cousins of the Permit. . and one of my personal favorite fish to catch. . . . the Pompano, which are just as great in my opinion to catch and are very fun, aggressive fish that loves to eat flies. Many people consider the Pompano a delicacy. Pompano are great to eat and can sometimes be a expensive fish on the menu of many restaurants. Thanks for reading my February Report. Once the sea fog burned off. Today was gorgeous out, little wind, sunny skies and temps in the 70s. With a very slow presentation we started off catching good seatrout,18-20inches long, in deep holes on the flats. We even had a couple keeper sized Flounder that were mixed in with them. Next we then found a small pod of tailing Sheepshead and Redfish off of a very shallow sandbar, gave them a couple casts and then continued on to a very productive mangrove point where water/current was RIPPING around. Just about every cast produced a fish from average sized Snook, Snapper, Ladyfish, Jacks, and nice Seatrout. It was a very fun day with lots of fish tugging at the end of our line! February should be sure to offer some productive fishing. - Capt. Bo 2/5/17

Fishing has been picking up slowly since our last cold front. water temperature has been staying warm! our trip started with looking for red fish, it got to windy so moved to another flat lee of the wind and caught large sea trout and jacks, quite a few on a fly I tied named the "electric clouser". then went to another flat and watched dolphins put on a show in shallow water, and found a small school of redfish managed to hook a big one to end the day.

Fished today with some great anglers, threw to tailing redfish around an oyster bar, then moved to some holes which held big sea trout, went to lunch at cabbage key and the second half of the day next spot snapper, small snook, and a small Grouper.
