- I'm a Southwest Florida Native. I've been fishing on Charlotte Harbor since the early 1980s and navigating it on my own since 1990. My father was a commercial fisherman for Grouper and Snapper in the Gulf of Mexico during my childhood. I made many fond fishing memories with him growing up. The saltwater is in my blood. My local fishery has always been my passion in life. I started my full-time guide business in 2011 after the loss of my mentor and good friend, Captain Angel Torres of Viscous Strikes Charters. Since that time I've made many great relationships and memories with fun-loving folks from all over the USA and the world. Guiding folks to the exciting saltwater fishery that I grew up on is a dream come true. I do everything in my power to make it a memorable trip for my crews. This truly, "is not just fishing, it's a passion."
- Techniques
- Fishing the backcountry on Charlotte Harbor with fresh caught live bait on spinning tackle is my preferred style of fishing. This is also one of the most productive saltwater fishing techniques in SW Florida. Chumming these live baitfish turns our target species(tarpon, snook, redfish, trout etc) into a feeding frenzy! There is no lack of action!
