It was everything we wanted from our Alaskan halibut trip and more! Due to weather, the plans changed so we focused on halibut only and went for calmer waters. We anchored in a beautiful area, the day was beautiful and the water calm. We all caught our limit plus other fish that we released.. it was a fun day and the Captain and crew sure know what they are doing. Huge thanks to Big Jim, Captain Gabe and first-time deckhand Steve for helping me reel in this amazing halibut! We have dreams (and halibut) to last long time :)

Everyone on board caught their limits of Halibut, rock fish and lingcod.  Gabe takes you to an area that few other boats can go.  We got to the fishing area and immediately started catching fish.  Because we traveled quite a distance to fish, we were treated to lots of Alaska wildlife: whales surfacing and spouting, sea lions on beach, black and brown bear, black tail deer and even an orca!
Couldn’t ask for a better day of catching and viewing God’s creation!

I was a single person in a group of 9 others and had a great experience on the KingPin.  Captain Dan and first mate Simon were great?  We caught a boat limit of Rock Fish and Halibut plus bonus fish of Grey Cod and some others.  It was quite an experience for sure.  I would recommend these folks to anyone wanting to go on a trip out of Homer.
