Troy, the captain worked hard to get me a yellowfin tuna.  We trolled using kite fishing.  It was my first time fishing this way and resulted in a nice yellowfin tuna.  We later switched to fishing for black sea bass as the tuna bite was not really happening.  We got 21 sea bass and had a lot of fun.  John the first mate was wonderful and we enjoyed fishing with him.

Talk is one thing. All that matters is points on the board. Carolina Girl put the points up and did it quickly. We boated 18 Tuna by 11:14 in the morning; the limit. The skipper put us on the tuna, the mate made sure we know what we were doing, and we did the rest. Simply put, the best day fishing in my life. Thanks Carolina Girl!

We went out on a 4 hr in-shore charter trip on the Carolina Girl and it was an amazing experience.  I have been fishing on charters for a number of years at the OBX and would highly recommend this crew.  The first mate was awesome and the captain got us right on the fish.  We caught a number of blues and 2 large Spanish Mackerel.  It was the first trip for my son and nephew and the mate couldn’t have been better with them and made the trip a memorable one.  They are already talking about the next trip they will take on the Carolina Girl.

These guys were absolutely awesome. They put us right on the fish, and made it very easy for us first timer deep sea goers to reel in the big boys.
We had to initially reschedule because of weather and Captain Troy was very straight forward, not wanting us to waste our money and be patient for the right day. I respected the crews honesty and knowledge the most!
For the price, this is the best boat/crew you can get. HANDS DOWN!!!

Attention all experienced anglers and novice anglers. If you all haven’t experienced an offshore fishing trip book it on the Carolina Girl. Captain Troy and his first mate will deliver a trip of a lifetime experience. Warning to all be ready for the big fish and lots of cranking of the rod. Listen to the Captain and firstmate and you will catch fish. These guys made me and my wife feel really comfortable about the voyage my wife was really hesitant about an offshore fishing trip because of the distance to the Gulf Stream. After be reassured by the Captain she decided to go along with the trip. She became sea sick during the voyage but the Captain and firstmate done everything to make her comfortable during the voyage, she landed a yellow fin tuna weighing 44lbs. I caught a bigeye tuna weighing in at 118.50lbs. That’s right anglers that’s a big tuna it’s something that you will never forget. These big fish will challenge your will and you will quickly decide if you are up to the fight. You gotta want. If you do go with the Carolina Girl Charter you want regret the experience. Once again listen to the Captain recommendations so that you will have a trip of a lifetime like we did.
