Would recommend, this was my first bay fishing experience and can’t wait to come back. He got us out on the water and quickly onto fish. He kept us fishing and showed us tips to reel them in.

We had a blast. Steve was great. Limited out on Reds.
Lots of local knowledge. Planning on booking again soon.

Great trip.  Highly recommend utilizing Captain Steve’s guide service.  Very experienced, great personality and makes the day very enjoyable.  Don’t expect a lot of “running and gunning”.  He knows where the fish are, so it pays off to use his techniques and great equipment. 
Caught 7 Redfish up to 9 pounds with two requiring tags.  We should have “limited-out” easily, but it took awhile for us to follow his fishing advice. 
On the books with Steve again, but he is a very busy guide.  I totally understand why.  Give him a try if you can find an open date!!!

This was the worst Fishing experience I have ever had. This captain was extremely ill-prepared, rude, and unprofessional. We booked this trip under the impression that there would be live bait included in the cost. With no explanation, he drove us to a store and wasted our paid time buying frozen bait from a store. We then drove around in circles while he kept claiming to see fish. He finally caught one fish and handed me the rod. Not really the experience I was hoping for. He then took us around some very shallow waters and we got stuck in the mud for almost 20 minutes of our trip. By the time we got out of the mud we requested to go into deeper waters, he then says he doesn’t have an anchor so we have to fish shallow. Then he tells us his trolling motor is broken so at this point we really can not continue to fish for a full day. We had no music, as his radio was broken, we had no anchor, no trolling motor, we decided to just go ahead and cut our trip to a half day. Sadly we did not enjoy this trip or experience at all. When we arrived back to the dock he tried to charge us full price without deducting the deposit we already paid. He did not do anything to try and reprimand the situation or make us feel better in any way. He tried to actually get more money out of us saying he needed to make a payment on his boat. If you plan on going to Port Aransas to fish, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. I have been fishing many times, I understand some days are better than others. However, this was not just a bad fishing day. This was a waste of time and money. How can you offer a service and not have all the equipment needed and/or functioning properly? Extremely dissapointing. We were lucky enough to book the rest of our day with Deep Sea Headquarters and we were able to catch a ton of great fish and enjoy the rest of our day.
