The boys and I had a blast with Captain Bode. He busted his ass to put us on the fish. We tried some great places and if that didn’t work we were on the move. My oldest son caught a 28 1/2 inch speckled trout. We sent it back for being to big for the slot but what a smile it put on my son’s face. We did bring home some fish even though some of the captains friends had empty boxes. I am very pleased with our experience as his boat is top notch, stocked for many different styles of fishing and well taken care of. I would HIGH RECOMMEND him for your next fishing experience. Do not pass on this great guy!

Captain Walter was a top notch guide. He moved spots multiple times when the bite was slow. He was very meticulous in how he would position the boat so everyone could fish. He was very helpful to the 2 novice anglers that where part of our group, being right there to do something whenever they needed something done and giving advice when the opportunity arose. He was very knowledgeable about the area and could answer most any question you had to asked him. We started out the morning fishing sheepshead and when they quit cooperating we went after reds, that didn’t want to cooperate but Captain Walter tried hard to get them to, at one point he drove about 10 miles to try a different area. At the end of the trip we where able to walk away with 18 keepers and lots of unforgettable memories.

We had an absolute epic morning trip with Captain Bode. He knew just where to go and how get the fish in the box. He was able to get us on very nice trout early and heavy for a 4 man limit. After the great trout action he put us on some heavy brutes of red fish. We had multiple hook ups and pulled in some great oversized and upper slot reds. We could not have been any happier. Action was fast and furious! Do not think twice about booking your next trip with Capt. Walter Bode. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time on the water with Captain Bode.  The fishing was definitely not on fire, but that was not because of anything within Captain Bode’s control.  The bay was way up in water level from a previous storm in the gulf, the current was very strong and the wind was definitely blowing way harder than usual, all of which added to the degree of difficulty for fishing.  Captain Bode also kept us dry the entire morning as we kept having to dodge pop up storms.  We tried different baits and techniques and were moving around trying to track down the fish, but it just wasn’t meant to be a banner day on the water.  That’s why they call it fishing and not catching.  It still beat a day at the office!  Captain Bode had a super nice boat, nice equipment and worked his tail off trying to get us on the fish regardless.  I’d go fishing with him again without hesitation.  Thanks Captain Bode!

Kids were never big on fishing, they both want to go again when we are back in the area. Captain Bode put us on fish, we walked away with several meals and had a Wonderful experience despite weather not really cooperating.
I’ll definitely be using this charter again!
