It was a little windy and rough but Captain Bode put us on fish right away.  He was getting calls from other captains asking advice on where the fish were hitting.  We had our limit of sheepshead in about 2.5 hours.  After that he took us out to the mangroves to fish for reds. We got our catch cleaned and even had some cooked up at a local restaurant for supper. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.

Weather was shit, Captain started out fast and we were missing bites. This guy pulled his secret run on us and we set up, wasn’t long and “fish on”!! Man we caught our limit of big reds in slot and each had oversized keeper tags. Had to throw back some nice reds, all ranged 27-29 inches. If you ain’t with Capt. Walter you might be wishing you were, his knowledge made our lousy day a trip of a lifetime.

My half day trip was great fishing! Was hit and miss but the captain kept trying different spots and we ended up catching a lot off fish would highly recommend.

Gorgeous sunrise, experienced guide, lovely boat, and plenty of fish caught by our family of 3 add up to an unforgettable morning on the Bay at South Padre. We have been coming to SPI for years and thrilled to have discovered this outing! We can’t wait to fish again with Captain Walter Bode!

Had a great time with Bode’s Bay fishing outfit. Walter is a great guide who was patient and very knowledgeable, not only about fishing but the island in general. We limited out on speckled trout within 2 hrs and caught an amazing redfish. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a guide, beginners to experienced fishermen. He will definitely put you on the fish. Hopefully we’ll get to book with him in the future.
