We had an incredible day of fishing with Mario and Sammy! Mario was excellent at communicating quickly during booking and before our trip and they were ready to go when we got there. We caught 4 big tuna and a barracuda. Those tuna fight hard so it was a workout bringing them in! At the end of the day, Mario dropped us off at a marina restaurant and asked the chef to cook our catch. We ended the day with an amazing tuna feast…we wished we had more people to share with! It was an awesome experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a day of beautiful deep water fishing.

Captain Mario and Sam were great.  Very accommodating. You can tell they love fishing and want you to be successful. He explained what we were doing and let do what we could. Jigging for fish is exhausting so we mostly trolled. Our trip was 25 minute by boat to the front of hotel row, we trolled out deep, for a couple hours, jigged on the ledge for a short while, trolled the ledge (I think) for a while before jigging a bit longer. Boat was clean and well maintained.  Marina is tucked behind Exxo bodega and is actually nice and quaint, don’t be deceived by the google map pic.  You could sit a while on the marina dock comfortably.  Thanks Mario!

Mary and myself had an amazing time on our trip, both Mario and Sammy gave answers to our questions as well as great fishing tips. For most of the journey we got strikes and bites but no luck until we decided to head on back to the marina. We were a bit down on morale but as we spoke of the terrible luck we had, we get a bite and the battle began. He fought hard and the closer I got him to the boat the harder he tried to escape. After a few minutes of waiting him out and reeling in. We got the African Pompano in the boat, bagged and a few hours later in our stomachs. A truly delicious meal and all thanks to Captain Mario and his trusted crew member Sammy.

The only negative was the weather. We knew this going into the full day trip however. We have no problem recommending this charter. Mario and Sam are hard working fishermen. I am a very experienced angler and these two worked their butts off to put us on fish on and rainy and windy day. We started by catching Barracuda right at the start. The water was so choppy that it really held us up with some of the bigger bite. We worked hard jigging and had some great bites, but again the weather was just too much here. They changed gears to get us on a different path and we caught Tuna and ended the day catching Spanish Mackerel.  Mario even picked us up and dropped us off at our resort as it was on his way to and from the Marina. Sensational service from these two. Don’t let their lower price detour you from booking them. You get the service and experience of the more expensive charters.

Very good Captain and mate, caught fish, very well spent hours in cancun. Fished both the ocean and lagoon. Caught Barracuda and a Jack Crevalle. Fish or not, these 2 were very respectful and helpful as we were beginner fisherman.  Fun time! Would recommend.
