The weather was not in our favor and we had the option to change our trip from a deep sea to an inshore trolling or cancel. We decided to go inshore. Captain Andy still managed to put us on the fish. Caught a few Cero Mackerel. Deck hand Shesla (spelling) was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will have to do the deep sea trip the next time we are in town.

We booked for 2 days on a recent trip to Puerto Rico. We chose Konklma because of the reviews on Fishingbooker. The only disappointment that day was the weather. The captain and 1st mate were very knowledgeable of the area and their equipment. We did a few hours of trolling but the waves and wind started to build to an unsafe level. They did everything possible to give us a great experience, in spite of the weather and we appreciate that.

Awesome experience! Except, I became sick from the motion. First mate, Chesla, gave great suggestions that really helped. Just wish I had known them sooner… the biggest help was finding a focal point on the horizon. Cold water on the back of the neck and finding a seat toward the center of the vessel were also very helpful. The other 5 people in our group had a blast between fishing and exploring at the beach! We had a phenomenal trip with Captain Andy and Shesla, his first mate/daughter. We spent four hours fishing and another two hour snorkeling. Both Andy and Shesla were highly knowledgeable and incredibly nice. Although we picked a day with rough water, they made us feel completely at ease. We caught several fish during the trip and watching Shesla seamlessly maneuver around the boat to set the lines and help us out was a spectacle in itself. During our two hours snorkeling, we went to two different islands, where we saw an abundance of fish and a sea turtle swimming carefree through beautiful reefs of healthy coral. Captain Andy and his crew was everything we were hoping for when we booked our trip. He was very accommodating and professional around our Family of 5 including boys of ages 11, 13, and 15.  We definitely hope to use him again on our next trip to the Island!
