Well, the water isn't quite warm enough and the stiff wind blows the majority of the week so it is tough to get out there with any consistency. When you do get out, the bite seems to be pretty… Read Full Report →

We caught 12 barely legal Vermilion snapper and a few other trash fish that were thrown back.
The fishing was off and the crew knew it.
They accepted my money and took us anyway.
The deck hand was very good.
Not sure about Capt. Steve.
Capt Ryan should have been there, as I was led to belive when I booked the trip.
The fishing tackle needs serviced, and the boat needs to be updated.
I don’t like leaving reviews like this.
Could have been avoided if they were honest with me.

Jerry, I‘m sorry the trip didn’t meet your expectations.  Please understand this is a business and whether the fishing is good or bad we are out there everyday trying to make it happen.  I was unable to run the trip as planned due to a family commitment.  I never lead you to believe otherwise. When you willingly throw back keeper vermillion snapper because you want bigger fish, there’s not much we can do besides do our best to acommodate your request.

We usually book a private trip but decided this time to try a shared trip with 4 others. Captain Rick and Robert where great! They were both very helpful with any questions we had and you could tell how much Robert loved fishing which made it more fun for us as well. We caught tons of fish and a big variety (mahi mahi, red snapper, white snapper, mingo snapper, triggerfish, a Bonita, and a Cobia). Boat is not huge but it’s nice and has an indoor cabin area and bathroom. We will definitely be booking with Captain Rick again during our next trip to Destin!

Though we had to throw back 75% of our catch because it wasn’t quite snapper season yet, we had a blast!  Captain Rick and deck hand Robert were extremely professional and help us have fun along the way. They are truly passionate about fishing and that energy is infectious. This was our first deep sea fishing experience and ti didn’t disappoint. I would definitely recommend this charter and crew!

Overall not a horrible trip, just seems like we done more riding than fishing. For the amount of fish caught was not worth the money.

Mr. Lambert,

I appreciate your review.  We did do a lot of riding on this trip, but sometimes that necessary to locate the fish.  We managed to put together a pretty decent box of fish despite the slow bite.  20+ keepers is generally a good day.

This was the first trip for most of us. The only thing that would have made it better is if we would have known you can only keep Red Snapper on Friday, Saturday’s and Sundays. We went out on Thursday and had to release all the Red Snapper we caught. We got to keep the King Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper and Black Snapper. Great Trip.
