The crew did very little in terms of explaining anything that was happening or what the plan was, and we started the trip by troubleshooting their speaker that wasn’t configured correctly - the first mate was little help.  I was scolded for standing up front and accidentally stepping on some lines the first mate had left lying in the deck and told that they were very expensive.  Then there was a bumper sticker hidden in the back of the boat that read “We cheat tourists and drunks” - which as a tourist who left without a catch just left a sour taste in my mouth.  We didn’t catch anything, but still saw dolphins and whales and had a nice boat ride together.

Both sides of the bay are very similar causing us to be close to late but not late. I think this triggered the captain to be a complete jerk. Then our reservation was messed up. We originally reserved for three then changed to four person. This caused the captain to lose it. We showed them the changed reservation but there was nothing they could do about it because the boat was full. They were very clear that we would not get refunded if we didn’t send three from the original reservation. Captain said this is what we get for reserving through fishing booker. So I was faced with losing out on our money or sending my kids with this jerk. Luckily his first mate was a girl that I had a little faith in which just so happened my nine year old got sea sick and she took very good care of him. I tipped her for that but was really hoping the captain saw none of that money. The boat seemed pretty nice but I would say just in case I would go with another fishing outfit hopefully one with a captain with more emotional intelligence. And I will take the captains advise and never use fishing booker again.
