It was a great day for fishing. My husband hooked into a 110-lb white marlin that made the whole trip worth it. Unfortunately, that was all that was caught. But. Capt Humberto made sure to try every location he could to find those elusive fish. The problem was the lack of the seaweed wall that the small fish hide in that attracts the large fish. But, when we go back, we are definitely going to fish with Double Hook Charters again.

Booked a 3/4 day trip with Captain Humberto during a boys’ trip to Puerto Rico. Captain Humberto and the deckhand showed up with a cooler full of snacks, cokes, and waters. We quickly hit the water and started trolling for Mahi, and the reels soon started screaming. The deckhand was very helpful and even showed us some of the techniques used to lure the fish. (Since none of us gringos spoke Spanish, Captain Humberto translated). After catching a Mahi apiece, we broke out the Marlin gear and started trolling, but the bite was a little slow that day. (That’s why they call it fishing and not catching I guess). Overall, the fishing was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would highly recommend Captain Humberto for all things fishing in Puerto Rico. Hope to fish again with him in the future.

We had a great time fishing with Captn Humberto and first mate Adrian on an all-day trip from San Juan.  Captn Humberto put us on the fish and Adrian was an excellent gaffer getting the fish on the boat.  Nice guys and a great time. We plan to return 🎣

This was an amazing experience. I would recommend this and would choose to do it again when back in PR. The captain and first assist were amazing. the captain brought us to their local club after and had our catch cooked up for us. It was a fantastic sea to table experience.

Great boat! Conditions were perfect. We motored out a few miles and Captain Humberto’s mate Christopher loaded us up and before you know it we had three rods screaming! We got into Mahi and plenty of wahoo! Everyone was cranking until their arms hurt. This was a trip of a lifetime, and lots of great memories of the beautiful blue water surrounding Puerto Rico. This is a great trip for first timers or experienced anglers alike.
