Mr Gibbs, you left out some key parts of this story so I think that I will fill them in so that anyone who reads this will have a better understanding of the whole story.  First and foremost, I have been doing this for 20+ years now and out of 10,000+ customers that have been in the gulf with me, less than 1% get sick because I don’t go out when seas are rough.  Shortly after we got started that day your son was complaining of a migraine headache which you confirmed. I felt bad for the little guy because (even though I have never experienced one) I hear they are absolutely horrible! I started out trolling near the pass in case his headache got worse and needed to head back. Then WE decided to head on to the next spot and trolled some more. When customers decide to go out even when I tell them there is a high probability of seasickness it usually happens in the first 30 minutes. At this point we are an hour or more into the trip and your son was still complaining of a headache. We decide to continue and run to the next spot. Shortly after starting to fish there you guys were talking about seasickness and I advised you to refrain from talking about it because keeping it at the forefront of his mind wasn’t helping him. You agreed. Next, I baited his rod and he put it down. I felt bad for him because not only was he suffering from a migraine he now was feeling sick and wasn’t fishing. That is when I offered to only charge you for 4 hours not six in hopes you would agree and take him back before he threw up.  10 minutes later and only after he got sick did you decide to go back to the dock.  I really felt bad for your son and was relieved to know he was feeling a little better when we got back in.  Here are a few facts:  If you scroll down on the page where you book my boat is clearly labeled as a 20ft boat. 95% of all my trips are in the gulf. My buddies who were fishing by us that day own 20 and 22 ft boats and none of their customers were sick. The seas were only about 1 to 2 ft and not rough. In my opinion, if your son didn’t have a migraine we would have finished the trip, caught a lot of fish, had a great time and your review would have been completely different.
