- I began fishing when I was 7 and my dad would check me out of school to go fishing. I would have difficulty sleeping the night before a trip because I was so excited. I always asked a million questions to gain as much knowledge as possible. At 15, I got a deck job on a 70-foot sportfishing boat and started climbing the ladder to captain. As the saying goes, "find something you love to do and you will never work a day in your life." Though the days are long and the nights are short, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico is truly a labor of love for me.

- Bottom fishing, deep dropping, chunking for tuna, trolling for Wahoo, Marlin, and Dolphin.
