Captain
Noah D. White

Member since December 2015

St. Augustine, United States

Background
Capt. Noah grew up in the Panhandle Florida coast, where he began fishing as a kid with his dad. During his teen years he became obsessed with surfing, and he moved to St Augustine after high school to be around more consistent surf. There he found that techniques on the northern gulf coast are pretty much the same as in northeast Florida, making it a seamless transition. Capt. Noah has always had boats and has always had an arsenal of rods and tackle. It seemed natural to begin guiding. He spends almost every day on the water, sometimes to just scout. This is essential in the backcountry creeks and oyster flats in the area, and makes all the difference between one guide from another. Noah doesn't just fish the rocks and docks, but prefers to put in the hard work to stay on top of the fish in the backcountry. This is far more rewarding, and will leave lasting memories. He looks forward to showing you the best of the St. Augustine and the First Coast.
Techniques
St. Augustine Light tackle, fishing inshore flats and creeks using live bait and artificials produce fish almost year round. When one species starts to taper off, usually another starts to fill in. Seasonally, in late spring through summer, we chase Tarpon inshore and off our beaches, and Cobia from off the beach out to the 10 mile reefs.
