At 30, the captain fulfilled his dream to guide in Alaska. After guiding for other companies and seeing how things could be improved and my wife's encouragement, Captain Adam started his own outfit. It started with him and a boat and has now grown to 10 guides and 4 different locations across Alaska.
Techniques: Swinging a 2-handed rod for wild Steelhead is by far the captain's favorite thing in fishing! A close second is mousing for the big Bow, there are few things in angling that are as fun as watching a 2-feet Rainbow eats a small mammal!

I was able to catch 10+ salmon my first time fly fishing. My guide James was awesome, he was excellent at teaching the techniques of fly fishing. I would highly recommend Fishhound Expeditions LLC. if you are wanting to have a great time and catch some nice fish.

It is a creek, with little or no fish. It is FLY FISHING, not simply to master or for novice/kid fishing. If it was billed as a creek float, would have been perfect. Expectation was to catch fish….we didn’t catch a single fish! Kids and adults were highly disappointed.

I was a little worried my wife and I wouldn’t be able to book a trip in such short notice however we found fishhounds! We made the Short 1hr drive from Anchorage to Willow Creek resort and from the 1st greeting I knew we were going to have a great day. From the owner of the resort, our shuttle service and finally our guide…. everyone was excellent. We will Definitely will be back!
