Met capt Ron at appointedtime. Original plan was to fish the backcountry but Ron informed me the fishing was very poor back there. He suggested we go out into the gulf and look formackeral and snapper. Great decision, caught mackerel, snapper and trout every cast for about 2 hours. I asked Ron if we could put oversskark rod. We did. Shortly thereafter the rod bends over and I thought I had a shark on. It turned out to be a 15’ sawfish. He towed the boat about 3/4 of a mile. Gave up fighting it after about an hour and went back to light tackle fishing. Capt Ron suggested we make a move. We caught some nice trout and then the Jacks invaded. Caught jacks every cast for about 2 hours. They hit top water to jerkbaits. What a day! Capt Ron knows these waters like the back of his hand. I will definitely fish with Capt Ron again!!!

My 14 year old son and I had a fantastic day fishing with Captain Ron. Great communication from the initial booking, excellent tackle/boat and Ron has experience of the waters which I beleive will be second to none. We caught lots of species of fish and Ron tried various other spots, time really flew which is always the sign of a good day. Tried for something bigger towards the end of the day which we really enjoyed, didn’t catch but we had two bites from something big with teeth. overall a 10 out of 10 day and I’d highly recommend Captain Ron as a guide. I contacted Ron before booking to see if going solely for shark was ok, he replied with in minutes to confirm!
I booked up and was warmly greeted, marina very easy to find.
Ron took me out to an incredibly beautiful spot, and within minutes we were into shark!
The action continued thick and fast including double hook ups!
I recommend Ron 110% and can’t wait to get back out.
His boat is super stable and has all you need, and his experience is invaluable.
