This was a first time experience for most of us. We packed lots of sandwiches, snacks and beverages and dressed in layers, so we were prepared. The layers were essential!  We we’re so busy fishing that we only ate because we had to. We had an amazing dolphin escort on the way out!  There were more dolphins then we’ve seen on a “dolphin cruise”. Captain Mandy and deckhand Blue were wonderful!  They found where the fish were biting and when the fish stopped we moved to another. We caught around 70 fish, 38 in season, vermilion snappers, and one SHARK.  Blue was great at instructing so we could do it ourselves, but not mess it up. Blue’s son Donovan was also on the boat learning the craft. He was a welcome addition, very patient and helpful.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you book with the Jamie G.  Gary, Rob and Greg are amazing and a lot of fun to work with.  We focused on Vermillion snapper and triggerfish.  We quickly were on top of the fish and well on our way to our limit.  The weather was wonderfully overcast with just a light wind.  Some brief rain happened here and there but we were thrilled to be blessed to be gifted such a great day.  68 fish in the boat later, we had an amazing time and had more than enough fish to eat for the next several weeks.  Thanks for making our trip such an amazing time.

Having never been on a fishing charter we had a great time.  It’s early in the season, so we found out, but still took a few fish home to eat.  The trip is for the kids and they had a great time.  Thank you.  Also the fish tasted great.

We had a group of 7 on our trip. Deck hands were great, very patient, and knowledgeable. We only caught 2 fish but had a great time and experience. The boat was super clean as well. One thing I wish we would have been made aware of is the tip. We were planning on tipping 10% and apparently it’s customary to tip 15%-20%. So just be sure to have the amount of cash with you for the tip because the captain will ask for it. Overall our experience was great and we had a lot of fun.

We did the afternoon 6 hr trip. The captain knows the fishing spots. They don’t waste time. Fish not biting, drop a line and nothing… moving on. Deckhand deserves a mansion on the beach. What a helpful man. Room for the 6 of us. If you get a big one, everyone reels in & gets out of the way.
Bring plenty of water, it’s hot out there. Best trip ever!!!
