I booked this trip for my son and I last minute. The captain Javier and deckhand Alfredo were awesome. They were able to pick us up right at the resort. We fished for 4 hours and loaded the boat with mahi mahi. We caught so many we ran out of bait and then kept catching them on lures. Booked a 4 hour charter with Captain Javier & 1st mate Raymond.  I was hoping on being a little more involved with setting the hook when line yanked from outrigger.  You basically just reel the fish in which is still fun when the fish give you a fight.  Overall a good experience for under $300 US.

We did catch fish and that’s most important. The boat is not what you expect when “Chartering” as fishing trip (think the Somali pirates’ boat that took Tom Hanks’ ship), and the crew does not speak English. They are polite and do try. We caught barracuda and yellow snapper and paid less than the other guys for the 2 of us to go fishing. We had fun and saved money.
