We must have spoken about 3 or 4 times before the trip to tailor it towards the weather and our desires. He even pushed it off a day because of foul weather. We finally went out on New Years Day. Weather was great. We scheduled an hour later so we could sleep a bit. He has all the “secret spots” where the fish hide. We finally hit a few jacks while doing top water fishing with a lure that skips across the water. Very fun time with me and my nephew. Tough to keep an 8 year old focussed on a boat for so long, especially when the fish don’t bite. Cliff took us into a secluded mangrove area which was very peaceful. Thanks for a good time Cliff.

Thanks Rich, I really enjoyed your company.
You and your super smart nephew were a pleasure to have aboard the boat.

Thanks FishingBooker for great guests.

Happy New Year to all….....

Cpn Cliff was great.  We did what was possible tailoring the stops and fishing to the season and month.

We caught bonito, grouper, and snook, and had a great time chumming up a variety of sharks (did not fish for sharks as the size of these takes time to bring to boat).  It was, however, amazing how many large sharks of many species were milling around offshore.  We could barely get the bonito into the boat in one piece.

Cliff is a great captain and guide, great conversation, support, and hard working and low key when you lose a fish ( of which we lost several).

Cliff qas a great Captain and did a great job in keeping me in fish!  I was able to ise flyrod as well as spining baits!  He knew where and how to find fish even with different weather conditions.  Was impressive!

It didn’t work out as well as expected, but not from lack of trying.
I would love to try it again.

Did all we could, picked the tide for backwater fishing, tried various techniques, but only one hit of a Jack Carveell.
Great time, great Captian but that is why they call it “fishing” and NOT “catching”.

With seas 5-7 foot in the Atlantic Ocean, it was impossible to fish offshore.  Inshore, their was an unusual temperature drop in the water, and a sustained 20-30 mph wind, ever present.I offered to postpone the trip , Russell and Mark wanted to go. I told them I would do what I could with the day, which I cut short time-wise.We netted all the best bait, had back-up frozen, and artificial baits.  The fish had lock jaw,or were full from the now, tail end of the annual mullet run. Which can be very productive catching fish, or very slow. The latter was the case.We tried many spots, but only had 4 or 5 fish that missed biting our artificial lure. Mark caught 1 jack about 5-pounds, and a ladyfish. Russel had 2 ladyfish. I really enjoyed the clients, Russell and Mark were a pleasure to have on the boat. Good job, FishingBooker great people.Thanks.
