Captain Scott was extremely professional and prompt. We were able to board his boat right at the cruise terminal. Within just a few minutes he had us reeling in Salmon. We caught 14 in the first couple hours. He was super helpful and engaging with our two kids (son 8 and daughter 10). They were able to help reel in about half the catch that day! The boat and equipment are all high end pro gear! This is not a knock off charter that you’ll get with the cruise lines where you’re standing in the sun on a crowded boat manually reeling a downrigger up and down all day. You definitely get what you pay for up here and Captain Scott was definitely worth it! Highly recommend!!!

We caught a fantastic variety of species, including King Salmon, halibut, and cod. We lucked out with perfect weather, but it was Colby’s skill that made the day a massive success. Total class act, great with beginners, and a phenomenal guide.

Scott did a great job explaining everthing to our grands. ages 7, 8, and 11. They listened to his asvice and we were able to pull in 12 salmon, one of which was a king! It was a perfect day. We usually try to show up self sufficient (waters, snacks, etc) but the boat was stocked with all those items. We highly recommend Reel Alaskan Fishing Charters. His equipment was top notch and he was very attentive with the kids. Super nice guy!

Had a amazing time!!! Scott did a great job, I'm glad he upgraded from a whale watcher captain!! He put us right on the fish, 2 lines down and 2 fish on, he did not have time to even get the 4 other lines down!! Thanks again Scott!!

Had a great time. Got picked up on the dock by our ship and went straight to the boat. Everyone caught a fish!! My 4 year old caught her first fish the size of her!! Captain Colby was so wonderful with her and is a reel professional - pun intended!! Highly recommend - Colby even had some great read of places to eat in town and some sight seeing. 10/10 recommend!

we had a very short port and was conveniently picked up by our boat. we caught alot of fish and cant wait to get eat them when we get home!

Our captain Colby was great at responding to our texts and last minute needs as arriving in Ketchikan by cruise ship was totally out of our control. He made sure we were back in plenty of time for the all aboard. We had an excellent time, loved getting to see the scenery, whales and catching a few fish. We definitely will call on Colby for our next fishing trip to Alaska.

We had an incredible time fishing. The captain was excellent and put us onto some great fish and was very knowledgeable about the area and the different fish we caught. He gave us options to see whales if we wanted as we went out which was a nice touch. The captain was hustling the entire time to make sure we were fishing at all times and moved us around to keep the bite coming in. We brought the whole family and caught a bunch of fish in just 4 hours. Highly would recommend this if you are on a cruise ship because he picks you up right at the dock. Couldn’t be any easier to find the boat and get to business! We will 100% be back.

We were doing an Alaskan cruise ship on the encore and wanted to go Halibut fishing. Captain Scott was AMAZING in his hospitality, instructions on how to fish, as well as how efficient everything was. He provided snacks and drinks for us, made sure we got out to the fishing spot quickly so we would have more time to fish, and also explained everything perfectly from how to fish as well as cool little facts and some history about Alaska’s fisheries. The boat was also extremely clean and looked nice and fancy haha. We also landed a giant 37in halibut and Captain Scott also took us to see some Harbor Seals and Bald Eagles at the end of our trip! 10/10 would recommend to anybody wanting to go halibut or salmon fishing in Ketchikan!!!
