Today was another Father son outing Josiah and his son Noah who also brought along their neighbor Mike. With this new crew we opted to use the Bass islands as a break to the NE winds. Today's second trip was a solo Angler from the Chicago area visiting Put-in-Bay. We fished West of the Bass islands and managed to capture 10 plus Walleye before we called it a day. Late Friday evening reach out by Trenton and Kendra who were wrapping up a week at the Lake Erie Islands area. We left West Harbor just before sunrise with a bright full moon in the Western sky. Trenton had the hot hand to start us off casting a 3/4 worm harness with a gold blade on a 10 count. It was about 6 to 1 on fish mostly around 14.5" to get a 16" to 19" keeper. As the sun climbed in the sky Kendra got hot and they both worked hard to capture their Lake Erie Walleye. We battled with pesky white perch. We found a really fast retrieve aided in keeping white perch at bay and the Walleye didn't mind. Seems, I don't get may good pics on casting days. Dan and Daniel long time repeat customer here from Southern California wanted a Walleye meal before heading home. Goal one was accomplished in quick order. 3/4 oz casting harnesses 10 count. We worked water that is easily reachable from their Sandusky location. Dan also wanted a little hands on setting Dipsey Divers and TruTrip 50s.
