Bring lots of sunscreen and use motion sickness preventive. Depending on where you are fishing at, the waves can be pretty big and our group struggled with motion sickness even with dramamine 2 hours before the trip.

Get good directions to marina. Puerto Aventuras golf estate and marina entrance is not marked and it is right of the main road gated and guarded. Inside the estate the streets are not clearly marked

I would definitely recommend Dramamine or some type of motion sickness medicine. People getting seasick really can ruin a trip fishing.

We prefer bottom fishing for fish you can have a restaurant cook for you. We're not really into sport fishing.

February is not high season for fishing, but there are plenty of fish to be caught if you have an experienced crew.

The fish were not biting as well as I would have liked, but the captain and crew did their very best to put us in situations to get a catch and we caught 3 on our 4 hour trip.

Choose the Mr wrinkles boat and crew..well worth the cost on a 6 hr trip..the fish can bite at any time of day..we had bill fish on from the start of trip until the end

Fishing at any time is always a 50/50 proposition. You can't go out and expect to land a specific species just because the charts say they are 'in season.'

Find a captain who's been on those waters for decades and you'll find any fish that are there. Would have loved to have gotten into the sailfish species but the fish aren't going to change their migration for my schedule.
