Fresh Newaygo Fishing Reports

We have been catching King Salmon on the Big Manistee River. We have been having luck with thunder sticks, crank baits, and using skein as well.

King Salmon Fishing in the river has started to heat up. Now is a great time to get out and get these fresh fish. This labor day weeked should be good !!

The river has been good to us the past few trips, smallmouth are bountiful and a spare walleye or two. The later part of the day/evening has produced the best bass fishing. We have caught a few walleyes in the deeper sections as we are targeting smallmouth bass.

We have been hammering some pike smallmoutha nd the occasional walleye. The pike have been hungry post spawn. The smallmouth action had been best with jigs and natural cooors/plastics
