Fresh Potomac River Fishing Reports

We are catching really nice size of fish few citations a day and a limit of keeper fish its on fire

We are currently on a great bite of huge migratory Striped Bass. These monsters put up and incredible fight on light tackle. If you are looking for a fish of a lifetime right now is the time to go. While the trophy sized fish obviously take the spotlight, we are also putting up very impressive numbers of 20-30 inch fish mixed in. Most days we are easily catching 100 fish making for incredible non stop catching action!

We have entered into the winter bird show season! Just before Thanksgiving we started to see the first of the working bird activity in our local waters. This was a welcome sight, from now until the end of winter we will have incredible Striped Bass fishing on light tackle. There is nothing like experiencing hundreds of gannets, gulls and pelicans crashing on balls of bait being pushed up by large schools of hungry aggressive 20"-40" Striped Bass. The guidung season is winding down on the historic Potomac River. Currently the rockfish are hitting swimbaits.
