Trip Info

Summary

Well the big bluefin tuna showed up early and close.  Fish are as close as 22 miles.  Went out in a 5 am to 5 pm trip.  Got out to the grounds in an hour to see thing quit.  No birds just beautiful flat seas and good water temp.  Put the trollers out and started trolling.  About a half hour goes by and run over a netter mark.  Reel in the trollers and start fiahing with bait.  10 minutes go by no bite.  Decide to keep bait on and slow troll bait a 2 mph.  20 seconds later wam. 45 pound tuna on and boated.  Continue the rest of the day with the same technique and end up with 5 bluefin. Up to 60 lbs.
