Trip Summary
On a misty Sunday morning, I met up with Craig and Cameron to go for mackerel and kingfish. On Our way out to the gulf of Mexico, I stopped along the channel to throw for bait (live pilchards). After only a couple of casts, we had plenty of bait and headed for the Gulf. About a mile out, we anchored up where the birds were diving, threw out some chum and almost immediately the bite was on! We caught a bunch of sharks, three nice Kings up to 43 inches long, and we hit our limit of Spanish mackerel. Another great day of fishing on Florida's Gulf Coast!
