Snappers, kings, mingos & scamp

Trip Info

After a 1 hour rain delay we finally made it to the fishing spot.  The weather seemed to cooperate but only for a short time.  This half day trip produced 4 snappers (one was very big), one kingfish, one scamp and 4 mingos.  Everyone had a blast and the two teenagers on board caught their very first snappers.  One even stated “I could do this everyday!”  The seas picked up to 4’ on the way back so it was slow going and took almost 3 hours to make it back to the dock.  They were all excited when they were presented with their gallon bags full of fresh filets.  Those tasty treats are going back to Arkansas for a cookout!
